OK - fair comment. Put it back in if you like.

Just as a word of explanation. We have a policy of checking links to external sites as some people link to all sorts of unsavory and unsuitable sites. The main purpose of this forum is for people to leave their [i:d3c90c1a15]own[/i:d3c90c1a15] experiences of disease and health care - but sometimes people try to use the site for other reasons such as promoting their own clinics, pills, potions, etc, and linking to sites that have no relevance to their own experience of a disease or health problem. I guess I was just in quick sort out mode and was over zealous.

Don't know how many of the \"old guard\" are still here, but came across the site again in my bookmarks & thought I would put an appearance in :D

I would love to be able to tell you that everything is resolved etc, etc, etc, but alas it is not. In fact I am further away from being sorted as I was 2 years ago!!!

Been given every pain relief up to & including Morphine (which had NO effect whatsoever!) and finally got into the pain clinic! Went for initial Pain Clinic appointment and was basically told that they weren't going to do anything other than take me off any medication that I had been prescribed and to now only take... wait for it........ PARACETAMOL!!! Are these places for real? Do they even take any notice of what you say to them or read your notes?

At least I got another set of MRI scans out of it (which were taken 3 weeks after the clinic appointment). Everything fine there? NOPE!

A week after the initial appointment I get my follow up date of December, only to recieve another letter from the Clinic saying that my appointment has been moved to another clinic 50 miles away & that the clinic is no longer going to be at the old hospital I attended! AAAAAGGGHHHH!!!!!!! :shock:

When I went for the MRI scans, I asked at the appointment desks if I could have my notes sent over to another clinic that has opened in the same city, and was told a point blank NO!!! AND they won't send the MRI scans over to the new clinic either!!!!! What was the point in taking them?

We will see in a month's time when I go to the new clinic what is said then.......

GP has taken me off the mental health medication as I stopped taking it as I felt it wasn't doing anything for me, and mentally I am fine again (probably because my divorce will be finalised in 2 weeks time & I am now in a new relationship with a wonderful woman that understands that I have health issues and cannot be any more helpful when I need it). Going through the divorce was hard due to the ex-wife stopping me from seeing the kids out of malicousness yet once she started the proceedings, she had no choice but to let me see them again (not as much as I would like to though) as she had no reason not let them see me.

DLA are still a complete waste of time and DWP still not letting me work, and I can see their point other than I want to go to work yet I am in too much pain most of the time other than to sit at a desk (which I could do that in an office !).

I have found one type of \"pain relief\" that works though....... getting tattooed!!!!!! When I am in too much pain, I go to see a friend of mine that is a tattoo artist and get a new tattoo done - which takes my mind away from the chronic back & neck pains! Glad he doesn't charge me though else I would be living in a cardboard box lol. Running out of skin very quickly though now, so got to try to find something else instead that works!!!!!!

After spending the last week in absolute agony, I finally got seen by a doctor that actually understood my symptoms and actualy used the \"Patient\" website to explain his diagnosis. I have been suffering agonising constant pain in my left forearm, and have been told various things this past week to what it could be, but the Doctor I see this afternoon had taken the time to fully read all my notes and after examining me briefly determined that my spondolysis had actually spread further down my cervical spine! When he showed me the diagrams on this site to what parts of the body were affected by the nerves around each vertabrae, it all made perfect sense! Hopefully the MRI scans I had a few weeks back will back his diagnosis up.

Thank you out of hours service for actually taking your time today to see me and take my condition seriously.

Once you have logged in you will be able to change your email address in my space, unless you have forgotton your password in which case if you contact us via feedback and let us have your new address we can change that for you and then you can click on \"I forgot my password\" link when you log on again and then a new password will be sent to your new email address?
