Which Antiarrhythmic to Prescribe?

Curious what drives the EP to prescribe one anti arrhythmic drug over another, say Dofetilide (Tikosyn) rather than Flecainide?

    I bet it has something to do with whatever drug company reps  visit them.  Drs definitely do seem to have their “preferred” drug, and I’ve often wondered the same thing.

    I would like to know the answer also Patrick.  The doctors I started out with favored Digoxin which I think caused more problems and never helped the afib.  They finally changed to flecainide and I started doing better right away. They still kept me on digoxin with the flec for some time.
