Which do i prefer Anxiety or Depression!!??

I have been thinking about which is more preferable as i can't seem to excape the cycle of both.  When i'm anxious, every feeling is heightened and tense and extreme, with occasional glimses of humour or upset and tears.  But at least i can fee SOMETHING.  When i get depressed it really is depressed feeling, don't feel much, no love, no hate, NOTHING.  Which is worse/better?  Do other people feel nothing when they have a day or two without their anxiety?  Or should i think i'm on the mend?

I was thinking the very same thing today! I am 2 months in on my meds and its lovely to feel happy on some days and not live in fear of panic attacks and not to feel sad or depressed... But i too am experiecing anger and other negative emotions that have been on holiday for a while.... I don't know whats worse... Also because i am feeling better i am standing up for myself more and people simply dont like it!

The two are so closely linked it's difficult to differentiate, my anxiety isn't so bad now but the underlying depression which it brings on has probably hit as I've been struggling to get a sense of perspective and a future so I've been very weepy and distressed at times, those feelings of course bring on anxiety symptoms, With luck and a few prayers I'm hoping to break the cycle soon and both will start to lift.

im only 8 weeks into this episode.

Have you tried any natural supplements or herbs?

I just tried a Trytophan capsule last night and one pill really worked.

Hi. Its sad to hear about other people struggling.  How long have you suffered?  I'm kind of fed up now. Its my 3rd serious bout of anxiety.  Really just want to enjoy life.xx

I believe in my case I would prefer depression over anxiety just because mine is so extreme and disabling.

I feel like I could deal with depression better.
