Which SSRI (other AD type) helped you most with social anxiety?

    Sorry meant to say 'Or other AD type' .... as in 'other than an SSRI'.

    Hi David, Seroxat is good for social anxiety, but I all SSRI's help for social anxiety.

    I've found Paxil (Paroxetine) to be very effective against depression but much less so against Anxiety of any type. Of course, everybody responds differently to medication and it may work better against anxiety for you than it does for me. But with 25+ years on Paxil, that has been my experience.

    We really need more drugs to combat anxiety. Xanax works good for me, but there is the concern about addiction. I only take .25 mg at night to help me shut down 'loop thinking' on problems that are bothering me and help me sleep. But even at that low dose I hope to eventually get off of it because of all the negative things I've read about long-term usage.

    We need an SSRI type drug for anxiety just as we have those drugs for depression. I hope the researchers are working on it.

    I’m on 150mg of sertraline and 40 mg of propranolol they work fine for me
