White/black dots/spots in visual field appearing randomly for several seconds

Hey everyone.
For several years I'm seeing white/black spots/dots in visual field. They appear randomly, usually one at a time, and last for a couple of seconds. They are very small, but very bright/noticeable. I can't tell in which eye they appear and I can also see them with my eyes closed. To have a better idea of what I'm experiencing imagine watching a movie on a huge TV screen and suddenly one or several adjacent pixels starts shining bright white no matter what colour scene is playing around that area. I've had a full eye exam recently - retina inspection, visual field perimeter test, etc. - everything is perfect. Ophthalmologists said I should further consult neurologists, because the problem is most probably in my nervous system, not in the visual system.
I'm 25 years old. I have high blood pressure (130/80 - 150/90 is normal for me...). I have problems with my neck and spine, poor posture, lack of physical activity.
Has anyone had similar symptoms or has any idea what could it be related to?

Hi rokaskk,
I have been getting the same thing for the past 5 years or so. The best way I can describe this is when you look at a bright light for several seconds then look away, you can still see it in your vision. When i see these random sparks of light, this is what i would best compare it to. Do you suffer from Aura migraines at all?I get Aura migraine without headache. I get the scintillating scotoma, a small dot or sparkle of light that then expands and spreads outwards across my visual field until eventually disappearing. Daily, I get the small dots/sparks in my vision, which to me are exactly the same as when this Aura starts, although these ones disappear within seconds rather than expand like aura migraine.
Have you had any updates on this since?

Hi! Thanks for replying! Sorry for answering so late. Yes, your description of those random sparks as if you looked at a bright light for several seconds and then looked away is very accurate description of what I get. However, I do not suffer from migraines and don't even know what Aura is or feels like. I get headaches from time to time, but symptoms lead me to think that these are tension headaches, as I'm pretty stressful and anxious most of the time and sometimes I even notice my jaw, neck, chest, back muscles tense. So far I haven't had any updates on my symptoms. I've consulted neurologist again, she told me it may be something related to blood circulation and sent me for an MRI test of my head, which I will have next week. However, the results will be ready only after around two weeks after the test... How about you, do you have any updates? I google my symptoms from time to time, but can't find anything similar.
