White Lines on Glans… What could it be?

Posted , 5 users are following.

I have recently been noticing a series of white striations or lines near the bottom of my glans. They seem to kind of come and go, however they were extremely pronounced today and I'm hoping someone might be able to help me figure out what it is! I do not use harsh products or soaps when cleaning down there - water only. I am in my early 20s and not currently sexually active. A routine STI test all came back negative around a year ago after a long term partner as well. Could it just be dry skin or some sort of eczema or psoriasis? Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Hi Jay you also could have a fungal or yeast infection or maybe even Lichen Planus reticular? so you need to have it checked with a dermatologist.

Thank you very much, Ivan. It's nice to have a few ideas of what it may be before the appointment. I'll be sure to have it checked out as soon as possible.

Thank you for the suggestion! I'll make sure to ask about this treatment when I get it checked out.

This is lichen planus, go to a dermatologist to get checked for sure and get a proper diagnosis.

If necessary, take a biopsy of a small port of the white striations to have a clear diagnosis.

If its lichen planus, you could easily get rid of it with an ultra-potent steroid cream.
