Hi it could be lichen sclerosus you should have it checked with your doctor. How long have you had it. And I think Your not circumcised?

Ive had for about a year now. Seems to be getting bigger and no I'm not circumsized. Will that cause that?

The fact that you are uncircumcised increases the risk of it being lichen sclerosus or BXO there are other conditions with similar symptoms so you really should visit your GP or specialist for a proper diagnosis and start treatment the better. the fact you have had it for a year and it has not improved and has started to spread would be worrying so get it checked ASAP. Let us know how you get on or if you have any other questions my LS started on the frenulum and then spread out from there slowly.

The general rule for something that you have had for a year is that it is not going to go away, without treatment.

One of the possibilities, as mentioned by the other responder is that this could be Lichen Sclerosus - I have this condition, and I do not think that is what you have.

However, you will need to get it correctly identified and the correct form of treatment put in place as soon as possible.

Do you have your own doctor, or something like a Sexual Health service that you can go to?

Hi only just seen your reply thanks. That's good you got it checked out and you have received a diagnosis of LS you have been prescribed some steroid cream I presume. the white coloration might improve I wouldn't give up on that just yet give it some time this will be a slow process. Keep us informed how you get on or if you need pm me that's fine.

Hi it looks like a change in the pigmentation of the skin possibly where there has been damage from inflammation leaving some scar tissue it hasn't changed in the last 4 years I wouldn't worry too much unless it starts to spread. If it was LS it would have got worse over time. If you are concerned about it then consult your dermatologist again.

I did not see this response from you until today, normally you would need to click-on the Reply icon in my last response to you so that I would then get an email alert to notify me.

I am glad you got a biopsy, at least you now have a confirmed diagnosis of what you have and that you have an appropriate medication in place for this.

I am not sure whether you are terming the issue of the whiteness as a question or simply stating that it will not go away?

If you have any further issues or are unsure of anything regarding dealing with the practicalities of managing Lichen Sclerosus then you can contact me via your Forum Post here, or, it may be best to start a new Forum Post which I will receive an email alert for it .....

I would suggest the title for a new Forum Post would be something like 'Dealing with LS in practical terms ..... '
