White skin versus red

I do have some tiny white spots on my skin but most of the damaged skin is red. Do others deal more with redness than white skin?

What is your perspective on the relative danger sign of white versus red skin?

(With photographic zoom I can see the whiteness lurking beneath the surface but the visible white spots are tiny).

Interesting about the white spots and the ones visible with zoom.

I read (here?) that a dermatologist said that your skin should be the color of your skin. If it is red or white, that's not right. As I've been using protopic, my skin has gone back to the color or my skin...so, my inclination is that this is a good guage.

I hear so many people who use clob or other creams and their skin "clears." I can't even imagine that happening after all I have tried. My case must be aggressive and intractable.

My skin has never gone back. Well perhaps bits for a short time. Now it is all red or latent white (I can see white on zoom and the visibly the skin does not look normal).

    Hi Dr jj,

Red. Usually signifies inflammation. It can last a long time. My skin down there has stayed red for months. Some of the whit spots have turned red but Dr says she thinks it's ok. I think this is highly relative to who you are and how your body chemistry is.....
