White spots inside top lip

Posted , 3 users are following.

I had unprotected oral sex 3 months ago and for the past 8 or 9 weeks I have had white dots along my lip. Not on the lip line but where the top lip touches the bottom one. I have had no eruptions or blisters, also there are pin size spots in my cheeks too. I have been tested for everything but only HSV 1 shows up positive.

Could it be herpes on my lip, would it linger this long without going.

Just so confused and anxious.

Would they linger for that long? Its easily been 8-10 weeks and they haven't changed at all? I have read that they usually blister after a few days. I'm just confused that's all.

the spots u are describing sound like fordyce spots and not an herpes outbreak Fordyce spots are whitish-yellow bumps that can occur on the edge of your lips or inside your cheeks. Less often, they can appear on your penis or scrotum if you're male or your labia if you're female. The spots, also called Fordyce granules or Fordyce glands, are enlarged oil glands

I have seen a GP and sexual health and they didn't mention Herpes even though I tested positive for it. I'm just worried it may be HPV or something but they haven't got any bigger or as they say, blistered. Could stress cause something like this?

Really do appreciate your feedback, means a lot.

I thought that was the case, these however have been there for some time, its making me crazy depressed.

They don't ooze anything or tingle, sometimes my lips feel smooth and then if I drink something hot they become raised.

I do wake in the morning with a whitish film in the corners of my mouth but I expect most people do.

Perhaps another visit to the GP will allay my anxieties.

I will try and post a pic if I can.

Do they sometimes feel raised to the tongue? Sorry for asking so many questions, I guess that's the point of this though.

      Totally Appreciate your input.

The first one is exactly like mine. Just came from nowhere really, you have really helped ease my worries, thank you.

You really know what you are talking about.

Do yours ever get irritated or more pronounced?

      Will they go away?

i get them too . if youre wearing lipbalm stop and change to a new brand . if youre not wearing any than your lips are drying out and your body may be producing extra oil to protect your lips in that case get a medicated chapstick
