Hello

I ve been operated of parathyroid cancer in March 2015 in France. It seems very rare. I m looking for people with the same disease ? I am still in hypocalcemia after 8 months even with 3 g of calcium per day and vit D.

Have you ideas to go out ?

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear that you have hypocalcemia after your surgery. Did you have all 4 parathyroid glands removed? How are you feeling?

I have had 3 parathyroid glands removed so far and need to have my last one removed as I have an adenoma on that one too which is damaging my bones gradually. I will in all probability have hypoparathyroidism following this.

Do you have a good endocrinologist who is helping you to manage your symptoms and medication?

Whereabouts are you in France? I will be in the Bergerac area from January.

    Best wishes.

Hi I have had only 1 parathyroid removed but with an adenoma of 4 cm and a cancer. They say that the HPT was so high (around 970  norme 1 to 60)  that I can't live with a normal HPT now. My endocrinologist says thay it is not a problem to take 3 g of calcium I have to check, in 6 months, the blood calcium and if it's too high the cancer is back or ... I have taken too much calcium. WIth sentence like that I can be endocrinologist. My usual doctor is much more pleasant.

I have also bone damages on the vertebral column  (brown tumor and lytiq lesions) but I have no effect. Normally after the operation the tumor must slowly disappear.

Why have you had 3 parathyroids removed?

I am near Bordeaux (one hour of Bergerac) If you want to meet you are welcome.

    When is your operation ?

    Do you speak french ?

    Best wishes
