Whole body numbness and pain spasms?

A friend of mine has been suffering from whole body numbness, at the moment her whole body is basically useless. her left side is completely numb and her right is extremely weak. She also gets these horrid spasms of pain where her whole body tenses and basically curls into itself. So far all the tests are coming back normal but they think it might be neuro. At the moment I'm just posting this to see if anyone else has gone through this. 

We're desperate.

    I had somewhat similar.  2003... a month after a flu shot.  Turned out I got Guillian Barre syndrome.   Has she looked that up?  Does she slur?  Left side of face numb?  Does she get brain fog and dizzy?
