Hi hippies and hippies to be!

feel good today, as I've just finished my last clexane Injection!

I don't mind needles as I've over 40 tattoos, but when it comes to self injecting I didn't think I could do it! ( well stand the pain anyway)

But I've done it!!

Just thought I'd share my news!

Have a good evening all lol

my ample belly was totally marbled - even after I was told not to rub ...

after all, it was not as bad as i thought it would be ... still ill ask for pills with the next THR ....

    good night, sweetheart

I don't know how I would handle needling myself despite many tattoos and no fear of needles. Well done.

I have been given rivaroxaban tablets which seems much easier. Plus I don't need to wear stockings!

I had to do 6 weeks injections because I had blood clot in lung from op. Still had to wear awful stockings.

    Unpleasant but no choice.

Ended with belly covered with scars but hadn't heard of 10 seconds thing. Bummer!

The nurse whilst I was in hospital threw my stockings away, as they were making my swelling more, so I was lucky only to have 28 days of injections and no stockings!

      Hi Linzi

thats plain funny - the caring professions seem to each have their own individual ways of doing stuff and we seem to survive randomly different treatments.

Well on the recovery road - good luck to you xx

Same here nurse threw mine out as they making swelling worse, also no injections at home. Think it depends on the hospital and surgeon.

I have Ted's plus injections. My legs swelling but neither nurses or gp suggested taking off Ted's. I'm 3 weeks post op so should be off injections soon. Didn't know they would leave scars.

Between that and my lovely butt scar I'll have to put my itsy bitsy bikini in the bin!!! Loo.

haha I doubt they'll leave scars.... just a few temporary dings .....  And I'm sure the butt scar will be 'haute couture' with the passage of time.  (You can always say it was a shark attack confused )

      Heh attractac

I'm going to wear my butt scar with pride

There's a lot of effort by my surgeon and a lot of effort from me gone into what's underneath that!

I shall definitely still be wearing my bikini

Your injections will leave no scars by the way only bruises which will soon go

I prefer to think of my butt scars as 'racing stripes' 'cause I can move waaay faster than I could before....
