anyone ever get like a big whooshing sensation in the head? It's kind of like feeling dizzy but no really dizzy if that makes sense.. this happens even when im just sitting doing nothing. Happens when im lying in bed too, like a fullness or pressure in my head. Also i have eye floaters and have done for a couple months now. Have seen a neurologist but he didnt see any need in giving me a scan!!

The things that you are mentioning seem completely normal for someone suffering from anxiety, aside from not giving you a scan, did the neurologist diagnose you with anything at all, such as migraines or similar? To be honest the neurologist could have given you an MRI just to put your mind at ease.

Here are some of the constant anxiety symptoms I have, which initially made me convinced that I had a physical illness. It is very hard to accept that theres nothing physically wrong with you, which is why it would have been helpful for you to actually get the scan so you can see for your self there is nothing to worry about.

    Brain fog

    Light headedness

    Inability to concentrate

    Numb face on one side

    Eye Floaters

    Muscle fasciculations

Digestive system issues (stomach aches etc)

thanks for your reply. Yes it would have put my mind at ease but its hard getting help from doctors now a days. He just said i have hypersensitivity and bad anxiety. I do understand how you could feel these things with anxiety thankfully and its helped to know other people do as well. Have you had the eye floaters a while? They do my head in, i have them everyday. I am also mega aware of my own body, i fell every pulse etc when resting, do you have this? thanks again!

Whenever my anxiety is at its peak I also get pressure in my head and this weird vibration feeling when that happens I know everything is just anxiety. Completely normal! Eye floaters are normal too. I am 28 & got them a few years ago. My Optometrist said it is pretty common. I freaked out about them because I could see them everywhere especially on white screens or a really sunny day but now I don't notice them anymore.

pressure like your head is going to explode? I get is even when i dont feel anxious but then again you can have underlying anxiety. Its a hard one! I know what you mean with the vibration thing, i also feel every pulse in my body it feels like, its unreal. I just try and ignore it all now because it just freaks me out when i pay attention to it. Im the same with eye floaters, i see them everywhere. Most days i can ignore it and bypass them, others not so much but slowly trying to move on!! Thanks for your reply. It has helped.

Of course!! Sometimes I get symptoms when I do not even feel anxious and then I freak out more because I'm like okay so there is something wrong Can't tell you how many times I have been to the ER and doctors for it and nothing was ever wrong. Just anxiety. Crazy to think everything it can do to you, mentally and physically. I know it is strange but I have a fear of the sound or feeling of hearts. So when my anxiety is bad I freak out because I can feel my pulse everywhere it seems. We all struggle but at least we know we are okay and we will eventually conquer!!

me too, i seem to just have symptoms all the time whether im feeling anxious or not!! I know what you mean, i am the same. I also get a weird pressure feeling behind my right eye, it freaks me out all the time but not sure what it is. See when you get pressure in your head? Is it like a feeling of your ears going to pop but really bad?? Anxiety is through the roof tonight lol!

Hi Megan just reading the the post now and I'm glad I came across your post because I've had the presure on and top of my head feeling like it going to explode aswell.. So it must be the anxiety!.. I am currently taking citalopram for my anxiety and I thought it maybe side effect of that but from this forum it still must be anxiety symptoms I'm getting.. we will get there xxx

I have been to ER a few times as well. And I also had many tests all normal. When I was told it was just anxiety I didn't believe it because I am a pretty grounded person and don't worry or freak out about things. And the symptoms don't come after any kind of stressful event they will pop up like on a Tuesday while I'm doing the dishes. I have learned to handle it when it's just once and awhile and doesn't last long but when it's days in a row and I can't function it's awful. Like this time it's been 4 days in a row now of terrible symptoms. This has been going on for 13 yrs now I have had enough!

I went through this too and was convinced I had something awful wrong with me as it just came from nowhere just kept getting this weird feeling sort of dizzy but not.

I then started stressing about it so much that was getting other really bad anxiety issues.

After going to the doctor about it was reassured that was nothing serious and more likely anxiety.

I haven't had that wooshy head in quite a while however I seem to go through stages of obsessing over other issues with my health.

I think to myself it can't be anxiety as I don't feel worried about anything etc but I think subconsciously I must be.

I feel like it's a big part of my life now that I have to live with but it's only come about I the last 18 mths.

    Hello,

I find it unfortunately somewhat re-assuring to read through these kind of posts. I very much experience head pressure and brain fog, mine tends to build in certain environments (such as work - find some of the people very strange) during the day. At night time / first thing in the morning - no such problems....

I get this a lot. It is hard to explain because my head feels weird and I kind of feel dizzy but not the room spinning type. Sometimes it feels like I'm shaking but on the inside, sometimes it feels like I'm dropping. And all of my symptoms come out of the blue not after any kind of stressful event.
