WHY ?

Why is it so difficult for some people to stop drinking alcohol ?

I know all the scientific information.  I know all the medications.  I know the success and failure rates.  I just don't know how to stop !

I am truly sick of trying to beat this ... too many battles, in a never-ending war.  I am going around in circles... getting nowhere.

Nothing seems to work for me.

    I'm trying Nalmefene but it's having no effect and this is why I'm trying Baclofen again as it's the only thing that's worked for me in the past despite the side effects.....I'm desperate now😢

      Baclofen worked for me but I stopped it after 2 weeks due to being tired and not liking the long term side effects.  But, I'm thinking of trying to take a low dose until I see my doctor the end of this month and get Campral.  Getting desperate here too.

      I have not had Baclofen.  I will read up about it.  I don't think the Nalmefene is working for me now, either.  I am back at 2 bottles of wine, daily.  Campral did not work for me ... I have 100 of them here !  I just gave up on it.  I am giving up on the Selincro/Nalmefene now, too.

      I think some people are resistant to medications..... me, for one.

      I feel desperate as well.  I feel ill.  I feel shame.

      You are resistant to medication and I'm overly sensitive.  Hey, I could use those Campral, lol!

      That was positive thinking when you said you'd read up on the baclofen.  I knew there was hope in there somehwere!!! Blessings!

      Kelly,I followed the protocol last year reading titrating up and I reached indifference,didn't drink for 2 weeks because I couldn't if you had paid me but I titrated down to fast due to worrying about the next shipment coming and I lost my switch.For me it really is a miracle drug.I went from one day drinking 3 bottles of wine to the next day drinking nothing

      I get lots of reactions to medications. Allergies a gogo !  But the meds don't seem to work well, on me.

      Wish I could Post the Campral on the Forum !

      If you post the Campral I'll post the Naltrexone! ha!

      Hang in there!  Look into the Baclofen like you said!
