I did explain on another thread that I had been reporting the multiple duplicated posts that happened last weekend - and the moderators then deleted them. They also find some themselves and remove them. I shall also report the duplicate post from r.d.s.26296 on this thread - unless they are reported they may not identify there is still a fault.

I know that at least some of them are where posts have been unintentionally repeated. It's happened to me and also to Eileen and probably others too; I don't think we have all been posting inappropriate stuff. Sometimes, too, it happens if links are posted that are not approved. It's not that they are naughty, just that moderators have to take care. Mostly safer to send links via private message.

Mainly due to repeated messages I think...Bette Had 3 on one thread I was following and I know she didn't post it 3 times.....though I did have one moderated for a while which I never have had before but they must have their reasons - unless they just take random samples to check !
Hope you are recovering well Lynda......I am weaning myself off the pred by 1mg a week (will be on 8 mg next week) as have had so many really bad side effects from them - including a heart palpitation problem - at least GP thinks it could be the culprit or maybe a coincidence but now need to go on Beta Blockers - another blooming drug that no doubt has nasty side effects...it's never ending eh.
As Bette Davis said "Old age aint for Sissy's" lol x

My palpitation problem was never due to pred - it is due to atrial fibrillation caused by the autoimmune part of PMR! It gets WORSE as I reduce the pred dose and is the main reason at present I need 15mg to manage a flare! I'm also on a beta-blocker and an angiotensin II blocker - both at low doses which gives a good result with reduced rates of adverse effects. I've had no trouble at all.

My heart thumping problem was solved by taking pred. at night. Goodness knows how that works but work it did.

I wouldn't have. thought of. taking pred at night but my palpitations are going as I lower and I have some caffeine now with no ill effect. Like Eileen I found that as I lowered the heart problems returned and I had to go back to where it was ok. I am now managing at 2mgs with no problems so far and think the PMR is receding. Time will tell.

I didn't do it off my own bat; wouldn't dare, but was lucky enough to have a GP prepared to think outside the box ( excuse the cliche ). I wish I'd asked what his thinking was. Whether he's repeated the advice to others, I don't know but he did say, when I told him it worked, that he would "remember that for future reference".

Sounds like you have a good GP. I'm thankful that mine just leaves me to it!
