Why am I hearing voices as I fall asleep?

I've had this for several months now, along with vivid dreams. I've been to the ER and a Mental Health Clinic for an assessment. They said it could be stress or even hypnagogic hallucinations. I'm worried since I can't figure out the actual cause. I don't use any substances, shouldn't be as stressed, get enough rest, stay active, etc. I thought about it being something like schizophrenia or psychosis but I'm way older than the usual onset.

Hearing Voices while falling asleep isn't anything to be alarmed about as long as you're not hearing the voices while you're awake.
