Clumsiness, weakness, and pain. Can't clean houseand I'm still not able to return to work. Dr said it's going to be a while before pain leaves. I've been going through a lot of pain before wc even approved the surgery. Im just depressed over the whole situation.

second operation seems to have gone better than the first. My right hand is very stiff. It feels very clumsy and my fingers are not as sensitive at the ends as they used to be. The surgeon said that it may be all I can
expect. I hope the left hand continues to be better than the right. I get a bit depressed about it as I love
gardening and crafts. I don't seem to have much strength. I cannot open bottles and cans, pick up heavy
pans, etc. I had to have the operations as I was in extreme discomfort . I just wished the outcome had been better.

I had an op on my left hand for carpal tunnel in September 2013. Thankfully it was successful, however, I sometimes get stabbing pains. It was a long time before I could big my shopping up with my left hand and sometimes I get pins and needles. Buy hey, its' only 8 months. I agree with 'big ant', sometimes these things come from the neck and elbow. I happen to go to the gym every day and then swim afterwards. I do think these things help enormously and my hand is steadily getting stronger. Make sure you get a good assessment at the gym before exercising though, otherwise more damage could be done. Can I suggest a massage on your neck arm and all over in fact. These things are wonderful and uplifting as well. Lastly, my
surgeon made a comment. I also had CT in my right hand by milder. He said, it's very odd, but once you have had one hand done, the other one seems to disappear!! Oddly, it has. See a physiotherapist as well. All these things can help. The surgeon also said, you must exercise it every day as this will improve
durability. Good luck Sharon. Follow it up on Youtube, you would be surprised what you can learn from
there.
