Why am I such a wimp!?

I am actively researching the best procedure for me, but in the mean time I thought I would try my Cialis again for some symptom relief.
I have 5mg Cialis that my uro prescribed some time ago. I took it for 30 days about a year ago, but I quit because of side effects.
I took 2.5mg ( I cut in half ) 2 days now, and I feel horrible! Flush face, heavy feeling in my head, dizzy, stuffed nose, just overall not myself with 2 tiny doses! It does seem to help with flow very quickly.
I am at the gym right now and I am finding it very difficult to focus on my workout.
Is it just me? Do I need to just power through this feeling? Anyone else so sensitive to meds?

I initially had a runny nose etc from Cialis but it went away after a few days - it didn't affect me as badly as what you are describing, maybe give it a week and see ? having said that if you have BPH eventually you should get some procedure to avoid damaging the bladder

It took me months to get used to Flowmax and I still don't feel as good as I used to. I hate drugs. I had Rezum in Dec, and my next appt is 2 weeks away, hoping to get off the pills.

Tim if you had Rezum 3 months ago if your flow is not already better my guess is it was not effective enough - from what I have read here and it's anecdotal not a proper study if a procedure works men tend to throw the pills in the garbage when they feel they have a much better flow - with something like Rezum you'd have to keep taking if for a couple of months maybe but after around 3 months it's probably as good as it's going to get. By that time the dead tissue would have absorbed or whatever. I hope I'm srong, or maybe you just don't realize you can stop taking Flomax.

Flow is good, she just wanted me to continue the pills for 3 months until she could see me again. Flow actually improved at 6 weeks and has been good since.

Drugs affect different people in different ways. If a drug has adverse side-effects for you, it doesn't mean you're a wimp. It's your call to decide to taking for a few more days to see if the side-effects are reduced or minimized. I recommend seeking your doctor's advice. That will be better than random strangers on the internet with no medical training!

It is interesting though. I've been reading these boards for two years now and I got the impression that .5 mg of Cialis was relatively side-effect free and an alternative to the other BPH drugs. I just have never been able to get them for a good price from my pharmacy company and I'm skeptical that it would do me much good. For a better price I'd try it. Bobcats: sounds like your reaction is a little unusual.

Keith, Cialis is generic now maybe that will help with price

Thanks for the tip unclefester. I have Silver Scripts Medicare Part D and it looks like they still don't have it on their formulary. I looked for Tadalafil 5mg.
Its ok. I don't really need to take anything as I'm doing fine with cic right now. I thought I'd try it as I'd heard there are less side effects with it. My Urologist actually didn't even offer me drugs; not sure why. He was going to put me in GL surgery straight away after my first visit.

I have tried:
Uroxatral
flomax
daily cialis
i tried cialis for 30 days because of the other obvious benefits. All of these make me feel like - not myself!
Not looking for advice from strangers on the internet, seeking experience from this forum which seems to be the strongest prostate forum in existence. Without it, I would have never known about all the possible procedures , because my Uro says , take these pills, 0k try these pills, ok lets do a TURP.
I am overly sensitive to medications both physically and psychologically, just wondering if anyone else feels the same way about meds?

Late here... but I am VERY sensitive to all meds... I took Terazosin and thought I would have a heart attack... and that was only 1mg! I just got a script for 5mg Cialis generic...
What strength Cialis did you try? I find Docs tend to over-prescribe in terms of strength... my Primary wants me to go onto a SSRI antidepressant... talk about side effects! I read way too many horror stories about those... so would get a bad effect for sure...
Has your UroDoc suggested you try CIC (catheterizing)? I have been doing it for over a year... not a problem at all... but a little inconvenient when traveling, dates, etc... I don't do much of either...
