Why are benzodiazepines and zopiclone on a separate discussion?

I'm puzzled as to why benzodiazepines and zopiclone are separated? Surely if you follow guidelines such as NICE BNF Ashton manual you ae advised to gradually switch from zopiclone to diazepam to wean off!

It is because Zopiclone is not a member of the benzo group. Yet as far as I am

concerned they are just as bad as benzos.

I'm just about to post this on the. Zopiclone group too. Yes I agree both are just as bad ( an understatement also the point of my argument) this person and others are addicted to both drugs.) What is advised is to switch gradually to diazepam ( so on one drug) it is easier to taper off. At present I am trying to multitask as I will not lose this case, it affects a lot of people's lives. I am eventually attempting to get the government to accept responsibility and get some

action on this. I promise you will have all the facts and people affected equally by both drugs personally) your input would also be much appreciated. Regards Sonia
