Why do i have a sharp pain in the heart when i swallow?

Yesterday i drank some coke and i had a horrible chest pain during a few minutes.
And now, when i swallow saliva, the left side of my chest (the heart?) hurt a lot.
it stops if i drink a lot of water but when it’s saliva it’s a real pain.
I went to the doc this morning and he told me that it was GERD… But i’m not really sure… Sometimes it hurts like if it were the bones or my muscles, it’s really strange…
Does anyone have the same symptoms with reflux?

Sounds like it could be an esophageal spasm. is it a sharp pressure-type stabbing pain in the middle of your chest? i get those typically after I drink a generous amount of wine or eat a bunch before bed.
Long story short, the symptoms are concerning but not indicative of anything serious other than misbehaving esophageal muscles (assuming your gp has given you a clean bill of cardiac health).
All the best!

It sounds like it could be gas or like other replier said, a spasm of the esophagus. I know, I know, you know what gas feels like. But, I swear! I get some pretty intense gas pains!

Well, it's more a pain on the left side of my chest...
When i swallow saliva and when i start eating.
But later, in the middle of the meal it doesn't hurt anymore.. then it starts again.
I'm pretty sure it's not cardiac health, my doc checked everything but... This little pain is worrying me !
