Why do I now have anxiety all day that wont stop.

Iv had Anxiety for about 7 years and all of a sudden in the last few weeks my anxiety has increased to a point where i wake up feeling anxious and it lasts the entire day until I finally manage to fall asleep.

I seem to be suffering with health anxiety at the moment and I get the feeling that something more serious within my body is causing this intense all day anxiety.

Nothing I do seems to help, does anyone have any idea ether what could be causing the anxiety or anything i can try to reduce it, I'm really having a hard time coping with it right now.

    Hi Terry,

Sorry to hear about what you are going through. Sounds like you might have some kind of chronic condition, therefore I would suggest you see a doctor. There are many treatment options that could work for your condition. Best wishes to you Terry.

This has recently happened to me. But I’m my case I had never had anxiety before ( well mild anxiety occasionally) but illness triggered chronic anxiety in me and it spiralled out of control for a while I became very unwell. I went to the doctor a lot until they finally diagnosed me with a anxiety disorder brought on by stress and illness. I have been put in a low dose of antidepressants and am hoping it will help me get through this. I have also been added to a anxiety therapy group which will start in February to help me understand more how to deal with anxiety going forward.

    Definitely seek medical advice.

You can try Breathing Techniques and Relaxation Techniques, like Mindfulness. You will find explanations on this site or on the web.

If it does not clear make a double appointment with your GP, Make a list of your feelings and sensations and see what He suggests
