Did you have it prior to taking the blood oressure meds. Anxiety can do that as well. Also sugar levels can do that. Maybe have a high protein snack and a banana before bed and see if that does anything. during heightened state of anxiety i have experienced that.its almost like a half anxiety attack exoerience. Im just surprised the blood oressure meds arent removing that symotom they have the ability to do that with certain symptoms. Feel better.

Take your blood pressure when this is happening. Im curious if its from the meds and you are maybe low blood pressure in the mornings. Then you can call your doctor and ask for advice if that is whats happening.

Max you need to call your doctor and tell him about you awakening all shaky. This needs to be addressed. I wrote on your discussion as well.

I was hoping this was more recent than 10 months ago!  As I wake up in the morning I have  a very shaky internal feeling.  The only prescrition I uase is a designer hormone ...coffee ...and too much salt.  The last time I had this feeling was during menopause.  HELP

      Hi Georgia,

I'm wondering how you're feeling lately? Has this resolved itself? I have been dealing with this for a couple weeks and I see your post is the most recent. I hope you're doing well and wondering what you've done for relief.

      Thanks!

For the past few weeks I have been experiencing a dreadful feeling of trembling and shaking inside when I wake up. I have been taking anti-

depressants for many years and not had this reaction so that theory does

not make sense. I suffer from stress and anxiety very badly. Is this connected? If so why do I not feel like this when awake?

    Hi all,

It's most likely anxiety. Other things that can cause this are very serious conditions and you/your doctor would know about it. Listen to your GP, they have a much bigger picture than you...sat googling fragmented pieces of a puzzle you don't fully understand!. (I'm not ranting, this was me for years so I decided to change medical profession and study the hell out of it. It's a complicated beast, believe me).

Anxiety becomes an habitual process. Consciously or subconsciously, you're used to it - or at least responding physically to it anyway. I had this on waking for around 10 years on and off, along with all sorts of issues...the symptom list was just crazy.

Get some CBT with someone who understands the science a little bit (lots of these CB therapists are real snake-oil salesman. They often mean well, but the level of qualification can vary HUGELY. Quiz them before you start).

Also, don't be afraid of some low dose antidepressants. They can help you feel 'normal' for long enough to carve new pathways in the brain (neuroplasticity) and get your body out of this anxious habit/cycle.

The more you worry, the more ingrained in your everyday it will become. It's hard (believe me I know) but by ignoring it and brushing it off - it WILL go.

    Good luck peeps!

(P.S. Please stop posting "I have this too" - with no advice. Sure, it keeps the thread recent but it's not helping anyone).

I'm wondering the same thing, plus my ring and pinky fingers on my left hand feel kinda numb. Do you have that? I checked my blood pressure this morning it was only 133/81. Is your headache at the base of your skull, then moves behind the eyes? I'm thinking of making a doc apt but I don't really want to

I have this. It was one of my first and by far my most debilitating Lyme symptom. I lost my job of 22 years. I worked in health care and none of the physicians I worked with (large city with several good doctors) could diagnose me. Out took a natural doctor15 minutes to suggest I test for Lyme through a specialty lab. I have been treating for 3 yrs. My 'internal' tremors have decreased in number and severity. My external tremors have too. Hopefully someday they will stop. I ain't almost6 months testing for pancreatic disorders and checking my blood sugar daily. The list of symptoms I experienced is long, strangeand diverse. Best of luck to you.
