I hear you.I'm 58 and when I was a kid everyone smoked.Everyone in the TV shows smoked. It was a norm.Im glad it is no longer the norm but don't think smokers should be treated like lepers either.I think kids start due to peer pressure. The statistics on teenage smoking is getting a lot better.Kids are much less likely to start smoking these days.

Smokers shouldn't be so selfish either.
The problem with their filth is, it isn't confined to the smoker's lungs.
It drifts over to non-smokers and fouls their air too.
Personally, I don't give a stuff if a smoker gets cancer. But they should be banned from smoking in public places and all open air spaces.
I have breathing problems and I've never smoked, the last thing I want is someone else's effluent making my breathing more hazardous.

I know in NM you can't smoke in a car if children are present. You can't smoke in parks,or resteraunts.I think the only place you can smoke is a Casino.I had a lady come up to me at a Casno and tell me she hoped I died of cancer and would go to hell.I was not even sitting by her. That was cruel on her behalf.

I've never displayed any sign of bad manners like that woman did to you, but the sooner the laws are strengthened in South Australia the better.
It is completely, socially unacceptable but like always, the government seems to lag behind.
There is only 15% of our population that smoke in SA, so they are very much in the minority. It is the smokers here, that need bringing to heel.
I advocate a 50% tax on tobacco per year and exclude smokers from all free health services and heavy fines for outdoor smoking.
