Why does my mother keep getting recurring fever and what to do about it?

Hello.

My mother is 66 years old and has lymphoma cancer and diabetes for 10+ years.

She keeps getting high fever every few days. When we are unable to control her temperature with Paracetamol, we usually are forced to take her to the hospital, where most of the times, she ends up getting blood tests or X-rays done and she is given antibiotics - that usually seals the deal and calms her temperature back to normal.

My question is, why does she keep getting a recurring fever? What do you think it is, and how can we prevent it?

Hallo Mohi. As your mother has Lymphoma the blood cells that attack any infection are probably very low. Thats why she is picking up constant infections.

You need to keep her environment very clean, make sure she, and all the family who are around her wash their hands as much as possible. Keep her away from crowded places and dont let her come into contact with anyone who is suffering any sort of infection. There is no easy answer ,you just have to be vigilant.
