Why is my eye so sensitive to get bloodshot and irritant?

Hi, I'm wondering whether there is any people that can help me with a problem that I have had my whole life but only really properly effecting me over the past couple of years.

I have been to an Eye Doctor and they didn't really say much about it and just told me to use these wipes.

Putting it in perspective my eyes get bloodshot really easily, for example: when I'm tired, when I get hay-fever, when I've just woken up and sometimes completely randomly!

To most people this doesn't really sound bad at all. But to me it makes me very self conscious. I don't like having bloodshot eyes at all.

My left eye is definitely more sensitive to it as well.

I've tried all tablets, like hay-fever, allergy etc and they just don't work.

Also, sometimes I'll be at work and my eyes will feel absolutely fine and normal colour and then all of sudden they will become irritant and red.

I hope someone can give me a sense of direction of what to do or what this may be.

Thanks in advance.

Erackas, have you thought about Blepharitis or dry eye syndrome? Its a condition that is becoming more and more common lately with so many people using screens and phones and staring at them for long periods of time, especially late in the evening. People forget to blink and the eye just dries out and becomes red . If you think screen time could be the problem then try to cut down, especially late evening. Remember to blink. and give yourself lots of breaks away from screens.Allergy tablets dont often work with this and eye doctors are incredibly ignorant. Get yourself some eye drops especially for dry eye syndrome. You should be able to buy these over the counter from any pharmacy. That may be all you need but you may find the condition getting worse over time.Read up all you can about the condition. I will send you a private message
