Why would my husband only have allergic reactions to mushrooms in crawfish boil?

my husband can eat mushrooms every day of the week with no problem. we eat crawfish often from the same place. sometimes they boil mushrooms in with the corn, potatoes, and crawfish, other times they don't. we have eaten it many times without the mushrooms and have had no reaction. twice now my husband has had an allergic reaction to the batch that has mushrooms and he has eaten a few from each batch. why would he only have a reaction to the ones boiled with the crawfish?
