Why Would NASA Make a New Moon?

Posted , 3 users are following.

Yes, the idea sounds like something from a 90's Sci-Fi movie - but NASA is actually doing this.

The theory is they launch a Spacecraft with a robotic arm that will break a chunk of rock off an asteroid, then bring it back in to orbit the Moon!

The boulder must be at least 13 foot in diameter so astronauts can study it, before sending people to live on Mars.

The cost is astronomical (pardon the pun), but why would anyone want to live on Mars. They say it's a one way trip and even upped the spaces available from 15 to 100 people, cost then £15 each for the admin fee! eek

I can think of a few people who would be well suited to a change of location. They are all out of work now Parliament has been prorogued.

Well, if NASA upped the amount even more, we could send all MP's and and all of our prisoners, in jail for life (won't make any difference either way they lose!) lol

Any wanna be criminals would think twice about committing any crimes - then again that maybe asking too much from some people! eek

Hi Les, It seems many do not even think once so what chance of avoiding the trip by a second thought.

Oh! Sorry Les. I did not make that last message clear.

      I mean the politicians. confused

I couldn't agree with you more, Les.  The crime rate might just go down.  I always think of the prisoners who were sent to that "remote" place called Austraila, prisoners were just darned lucky, I'd say lol.

      good topic, les.

      Best regards,

Yes, Doc, I can think of some people as well.  Would it be too much asking them to stay on Mars, for research of course...wink wink!
