Widespread pain, doc has no clue

Hello,
About a year ago I was plagued with a horrible panic disorder, it came out of nowhere and took months to manage and get back to myself. I was on antidepressants until recently and I’m now managing very well with no anxiety attacks. However I have a lasting problem that’s taking over my life...
I have pain everywhere... not always at once but I get pain all over and my doctor just thinks it’s still all in my head... for 8-10 months now I’ve been getting pain in the following areas
Severe TMJ pain
Neck pain (front and back)
Headaches in the back of the head close to neck
Costocondritis that wraps around my body
Dull stomach pain
Lower/mid back pain, more to the right side
Arm and leg pain
And occasionally I also get pelvic or testicular pain
I also get vision issues like blurred vision or trouble focusing... last year had perfect vision.
My doc has run a battery of tests including a very lack lustre test for Fibromyalgia, I specifically note fibromyalgia because my dad has it and I was sure it was that. However he said because I don’t have 10-15 spots hurting at once it can’t be fibromyalgia...
Sometimes I have pain really bad in 2 or 3 spots but some days like today I’m sore head to toe..
I’m only a 25 year old male and I feel like im in a 75 year old body am I or my doc missing anything?
I’ve also been tested for Lyme, Celiac, cardiac (originally thought that was what my panic attacks were...) I’ve had X-rays on my jaw chest and abdomen. And a CT on my brain. Everything has come back negative...
Please help me

I'm sorry to say but this sounds really like Fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed after a long spell of anxiety. MY symptoms are similar to yours and I also don't have them all the time. I have started to go to the gym again, as getting your heart rate up and getting sweaty is really good, I feel like I'm fighting this horrible illness. I hope this starts to settle, may be worth trying to see a fibromyalgia rheumatologist as they are very clued in. 😌

It's definitely not in your head, but unfortunately doctors don't really get it, maybe it's worth changing doctor, and just explain that your not necessarily looking for medication and are willing to up your exercise regime in trying to help yourself, they may be more willing to listen. In the meantime I would go ahead and get out and exercise, even walking, getting a dog was one of the best things we ever did and has really helped me.

it definitely sounds like fibromyalgia to me and there is no way I could go walking on a bad day and mine all started with anxiety and my symptoms are very similar to yours so definitely push your doctor to go and see a rheumatologist or get another GP to look at you Don’t stop until you get to manses especially if your dad has fibromyalgia and it’s her Reddit tree well hello you think your GP would be a bit more informative knowing that your dad has it so good luck and definitely go and see a rheumatologist that specialises in fibromyalgia good luck keep us posted please

Did you have any kind of illness or virus or anything in the year before the anxiety started? Did you have a course of antibiotics prescribed for something fairly ordinary like a UTI maybe, or any other kind of medication. I notice several replies here from people saying the fibro pains started after anxiety so just wondering if this 'other medication' applies to anyone else as well.
No one really knows what causes Fibro and I've been reading up on mitochondrial dysfunction which can be caused by certain medications including some antibiotics. The symptoms of mito dysfunction are hugely varied as just about every cell in the body has hundreds or even thousands of mitochondria, depending on what the job of that cell is.
Any information from anyone about medication they took in the year prior to the Fibro starting would be very helpful. I would suggest staying away from naproxen and other NSAIDs as these may be adding to your problems.
I hope you feel better soon.

very similar to me! ive just made a post on my symptoms.
i have tender spots but like you they aint always all at the same time. my chest wall is one of my worst! sometimes i find it hard to just move around. even if someone pokes me in like my upper arm its so painful and pain will last minute or so. my whole torso and arms are always sore...like every day. my inner elbows and inner knees ache as well as my upper middle back, shoulders, neck, legs...everywhere! even my fingers. havent had a good nights sleep in years. i have TMJ due to teeth clenching so i know my jaw pain is due to that. i have anxiety also which doesnt help. i have blurred vision and have just started wearing glasses so not sire if thats connected. im nervous about seeing gp incase he looks at me like im crazy! even brushing my hair hurts my arms, shoulders and chest. cant grip things for long without fingers aching and arm. im hating living like it. i get muscle spasms too. im in the UK so need to be referred to specialists by my GP. i just wish i knew what it was.
