Hi all,

I've been going through perimenopause hell for two years now. have a lot of symptoms including the usual anxiety, palpitations, shaking all over, weakness, jelly legs, plus a lot of them that's hard to explain. Have been managing the anxiety and panic attacks with homeopathic medicines. I have some wierd symptoms like tightness around the diaphragm which im so scared of its a multiple sclerosis symptom because I've heard that MS has this symptom. Wierd pulsating/shaking in head as of i can feel the heartbeat in my head!! somedays more somedays less. another wierd feeling is as if something is in my forehead area. I feel like clenching my teeth too. Chest area pains checked out and is told that everything is fine. constant breast pain both sides. numbness, weakness, tingling mainly left side shoulder weakness, cervical issues, feeling a kind of electrical sensation sometimes when I turn neck sometimes narrow of neck. ( I have pinched nerve on xray neck).

all this in 2 years , I feel something is wrong , mainly scared of MS or something serious 😦

ladies if you can please provide some advice or inputs it will be so helpful🙏🙏. thank you so much

I have had much of what you describe: electricity running through my body, numbness, zinging, pulsing sensations. The list goes on... I have a lot of anxiety mainly focused on the thought about having to do all of this for very much longer. I don't know why, but I have always attributed all of my symptoms to perimenopause and nothing else. Not sure if that's because I've always been a healthy person, so I assume that I don't have anything serious? I know from reading about perimenopause that having health anxiety is extremely common.

If you've had everything checked out and nothing has been found, I would try to keep telling yourself that the symptoms are perimenopause, and that they will all disappear one day. Hopefully, soon:)

I try to tell myself it's just peri and nothing else but still the anxiety makes me feel the other way 😦 sometimes it's so difficult to explain to the drs all the symptoms. how can peri cause so many symptoms? everyday is something or other and a new symptom!

I totally agree. It really has been a living nightmare. Finally, though, I think that mine is coming to an end after over four years of it! I think I've done my time.

    Hi, You are not alone.

I also have many of those symptoms and have had many before but only after joining this forum have i pieced things together and realised I'm peri-menopausal.

I have heart palpitations often in the evening when i sit down after work.

Breast pain all the time - mostly in the left sometimes in both

Left sided shoulder pain - this is the one that really gets me down the most

Sometime an ache in my left upper chest area

    Brain fog

Pins and needles in my feet and left little finger

Rib pain - comes and goes

Tiredness - in bed by 9 most night

Health anxiety - every symptom i get leads me down a Dr Google rabbit hole

Its really hard to stay positive some days but i just repeat to myself "its just your hormones you will get through this" I also keep a diary of my symptoms to see if they follow a pattern around my periods (that i don't have due to having a coil)

I don't really have any advice but just wanted you to know that you are not alone in how you feel xx

They disappear and then come back hard!

My legs feel so heavy I feel 95! Not 44!

My legs are shaking too. Gastritis, Cervical issues, skin, nail, bones, bowels, piles and so much more

What is your breast pain like. I've had 2 breast checks 2 years ago. Mines the left feels a burning and stabbing pain(

At first they used to feel so sore like when I was pregnant or when I was breast feeding. Now it's a burning pain that I have to wear bralettes

I know what you mean. I might have MS (actually might, was diagnosed with "technically had had one episode" ten years ago but nothing since). Now every tingle whatever throws my anxiety into overdrive. I am currently awaiting a neurology appt because an optician saw something he didn't like on my retina which could be caused by MS but doesn't give me symptoms. Everything had been getting nicely along with HRT but since that eye test now I have a persistent paraesthesia on one leg which freaks me out. Still, it's nothing like the "technically first episode" where half my face was paralysed, and I have no loss of control of anything or persistent numbness in one area, so I am taking that as a good sign.

PS palpitations (or ectopics in my case) are the thing that bothers me most but HRT has helped that a lot.
