Will Catheter Ablation help?

My 18-yr-old son who was recently diagnosed SVT triggered by a flu, he was a freshman at college. We are suggested to have Catheter Ablation done and my son wanted to get this done so he can not worry about rapid heart beat.

So I'd like to ask if there are any reference for such a young age person who goes through this ablation procedure? Once Catheter Ablation is done, any chance does he still need to bring a pill with him or not?
