I'm trying to stop my Gout Attacks without taking medication. Does anyone have any success stories? Wondering if I just have to go vegan for life. Thanks.

Whether it’s vegetarian or not is political. The biology and it’s effect on purines shows it’s not a plant.

What at you are saying regarding fungi proves my point.
Marmite IS vegan and vegetarian.

But hey - if vegetarians are happy to eat mushrooms good luck to them. My only comment would be that vegetarians who eat a bit of fish or chicken from time to time, and eat the odd egg, live longer than the purists. But everyone to their own.

Sorry? You can not be a vegetarian and eat fish or chicken from time to time. It is a bit like saying you are a Christian but worship in the mosque from time to time. Your theory that so called vegetarians that eat the occasional bit of fish or chicken live longer is also a load of rubbish. It is true however that vegetarians live a little longer on average.
Unfortunately vegetarianism does not prevent or cure gout, I know because I am a vegi and get gout. Gout is generally caused through genetics, and some peoples gout can be triggered through various foods. Take the drugs and you reduce the chances of attacks, it's as simple as that.

When I first had my gout flare up, I really freaked out and cut everything out. I quit eating meat and really watched my diet to completely eliminate purines. I also didn't have anything to drink for almost a year. My UA numbers still stayed elevated, and I still had a gout flare up even though I'm on a steady dose of 300mg allopurinol. Some foods may trigger it, but gout is definitely beyond the control of just purine intake. With that said, I'm still mostly a vegetarian (pescetarian), and I think it has guided me to a more healthy balanced diet.
