ive been off balance since January due a ear cyst which grew towards my brain on both sides. I thought once they did the surgery it would stop, 8 months since surgery and it hasn't. its effecting my life so much. The worse trigger is my eyes, if i Even look at my phone I feel like im swaying really fast. I constantly feel like im on a boat. supermarkets and bright places are a nightmare! The more i do the worse it gets, bending down to pick things up etc. I'm starting to feel trapped and just want to go back to being how I was before this. I avoid people, places just so it doesn't get worse. my consultant said my brain with learn to adjust by itself, but i just can't see that happening. EVen if I had a name for this type of off balance would help. like i said my eyes are the worse trigger

Hi there, you may want to check out PPPD - Persistent postural-perceptual dizziness if you haven't already done so. It's a very recently classified condition so many GPs and ENT specialists aren't familiar with it yet but there's a growing amount of info available online and your symptoms sound absolutely typical

There are also several very supportive PPPD Facebook groups where sufferers can compare notes and offer support. Hope this helps.
