Will I ever be able to wear heels again?

I know its jumping the gun as Im only 2 weeks post second THR but I was looking at a magazine tonight (would you believe the Christmas edition) and I saw all these lovely shoes but they all have heels and I havent been able to wear heels in years because of my hips. I did wear a pair of evening sandals with a 1.5" inch heel about three years ago to a party but then was in pain all the next day.

With all that everyone is or has been going through I know this must seem pretty shallow but it would be so good to think that one day I can buy myself a really pretty pair of shoes, they dont have to be very high, I would be more than happy with 2" heels!

    Linnet, I have worn heels in years for the same reason pain.  I tend to wear black flats or trainers, docs have said they are so much better to wear but can you imagine going for an evening out in Adidas or Nike,,, lol,,, How nice to have painted toes, smooth legs and nice shoes,,,,

      Ive been wearing the same sort of shoes as you kath we went out to dinner with friends a couple of weeks ago and I would have loved to wear some nice shoes but instead I wore some pink trainers which my husband had to tie as I couldnt! If I cant ever wear heels again its not the end of the world I will look for some of those pretty sparkly flats to wear at Christmas 😀

    I have a shoe cupboard full of heels which I have hung onto because I WILL be able to wear them again.

    Must admit I have got rid of the ridiculously high and platform fashion ones but I have kept all my others. May not be able to wear them for a full working day again but I will wear them on an evening out im sure.

      Great attitude billie, I think I will take a leaf out of your book and just stay positive. I positively will be wearing some nice shoes with a heel and my nails painted if not by Christmas by the Spring.

    Hi. Have been wearing 1 1/2 inch heels from week 7 after 2nd hip replacement. {Checked with consultant and he said no problem) wear them all day for work and am fine. Wouldn't go higher than 2 inches and wear flats if I walking any distance. There is light ahead ladies. X
