Will it ever get better?

Coming up on 10 days 50mg sertaline I have some energy now better then when I first started. I still feel doomed during the day but I try to occupy my time. The nausea and stomach cramping is mild some days and worse others. The dizzy off balance heavy feeling is still here. Dry mouth and weird dreams at night.

I worked out earlier today and felt great until hours later I started overthinking that I'm going to pass out

    Hi

I think what u are describing is pretty normal

I ve been on 50 for 3 weeks which I thought was helping but high anxiety each morning last 2 days

Seems up and down - most advice on here is to stick with and ensure you get to the correct dose level to help u

Exercise burns off adrenalin which causes panic so always a good idea

Stick with it for 3 weeks & if you're not feeling much better you may need your dose increasing. The effects you are describing are perfectly normal & you certainly seem to be pushing yourself so well done. I was a wreck for the first 3 weeks. I'm at present on 150mg & doing fine. Im also going to CBT which will hopefully give me extra help with overthinking everything.

Good luck. Be strong & stick with it. You'll soon find your correct dose.

I put up with this drug for only a week before I said enough. Was not a fan of having stomach pain, and nausea all the time. I will tell my doctor to put me back on my old med. I heard a lot negative things about sertaline. This drug is not for everybody.

Honestly what I can share with you is that from my experience of take sertraline for three years, getting on it or off it has side effects, because your rain needs to go back to producing seratonin normally after it was depnding on this drug. These side effects varry from one person to another, but they do evetually fade out.

Stick it out, give it a week or two and everything will start getting better and you will start becomeing happier. Although usually your doctor might increase the dose after 3 to 4 weeks, but you will not have the same extent of side effects.

Please note: (I'm not a professional nor do I give any professional advice and I always recommend you ask your treating doctor I'm only speaking from my personal experience and this might apply or not to you. It depends on your Age, Sex, General Health condition and so on)
