Will My GI Make Me Go To The Hospital?

I've been in a really bad colitis flare since last Wensday. Went to the hospital twice and they treated me for dydration and gave me pain medication and did a CT scan. Blood work was basically normally. ( Went to the ER got treated, then sent home.)

But it's so bad I've been having diherrea ever since and Im waking up all through the night having to go. I've lost count how many times I've gone in the past 24 hours. But nows it's just extremely hot water that is coming out of me and it has a tiny bit of blood in it.

I can't eat. I haven't been able to eat anything in four days now or else I get crippling stomach pains or vomit. It's hard to even drink water with the pain. ( I am because I'm trYing to stay hydrated. It just hurts really bad.) I can't even keep the medication the hospital gave me down anymore.

My stomach is hurting so bad I can't wear a seat belt or go over bumps in the road and I keep running low grade fever of about 99.9 or 100.3 but they'll break.

I'm seen my new GI doctor today and I haven't been on medication for UC in a long time because I had been doing better. It just flared up again.

I feel really weak and lightheaded and I'm in so much pain. I was wondering if there's a chance I could end up in the hospital.

Sorry you are feeling so low. Can't understand why you are not taking meds continuously if you have been diagnosed with UC? Itsmyunderstanding that whether or not in a flare up, that meds need to be continuously taken in order to manage the condition! You must speak to your doctor and have that clarified!

The answer is yes and you need to go before you perforate your bowel or pass out from low potassium levels I had every one of your symptoms putting it off for 2 weeks before I eventually took myself to hospital and ended up in there for 12days and I got told off for leaving it so long.

Hoping you got it sorted in some way today...
