Will the pain ever go away?!

Over the past few weeks the pain just seems to go from one extreme to the next, day after day I seemed to be in pain and nothing seems to be helping.

    Hi

I competely understand, being in pain all the time really gets you down.

Currently all I can take is ibruprofen! I am still at college and all the tablets my doctor has tried me on have side effects that really effect my college work, I suffer from fatigue and being on tablets just made me more drowsy. Also, when I last tried to come off the tablets, after builing to dose up and up, I actually had withdrawal symptoms. So I cant win either way guys.

Yes Rosie, it does get better, it's gotta be the hardest thing to diagnose..most of us had it for years before being diagnosed ...once your medication sets in you will feel the difference..I'm on Amitiptilyne 25 mg per night..never been increased throughout all these years..good nights sleep I get, then I can handle the next day ok.. Trying to be positive really help too..but it is very hard ai know...Also I take vitamind3 and magnesium double the recommended does on the bottle..also over the counter Osteo Panadol 6  a day taken in two's, it's slow release..it's just paracetamol only 600 g per tab plus the slow release...I've been taking them for years...on my specialists advice..their better than some of the stronger painkillers..things they do to your system..grr..these don't build up in your system either..they are great...This Fibro does get easier to cope with, .it goes into remission-that's great-then there are those horrid flare ups...so there's light at the end of our tunnel...less stress in such a key.....I use loads of hot water bottles when I have flare ups...heat is soo good for pain and muscle spasms/cramps...you probably already know this..I really hope all goes well for you Rosie with a beautiful name like that it has to..lol

be blessed and keep on blogging..there's a wealth of experience knowledge on here as well as empathy and encouragement...have a great day...:-) xx
