For many years I have enjoyed a few glasses of wine, nothing excessive, but recently after drinking a couple of glasses I had bad diarrhea, never happened before

    For now stop drinking, and go see your doctor for advice.

    alcohol is a big trigger for ibs. not worth it.

    I also enjoyed wine and beer at the weekends then my ibs got worse. I have for a number off years ibs and found curtain wines made it worse, Reduce the level off intake and look at other types of drink as well cider .For me is a no no . Best results is to leave it alone and detox for a bit .good luck

    My IBS is definitely triggered by alcohol - particularly port.

    I have given up alcohol - which also has other health benefits.
