Winter blues & anxiety

Does anyone else find this time of year (uk based) very challenging? Ive been on 100 mg since october last year. I like everyone else had endure the sides to reach a good place. Unfortunatly, since the long dark rainy days draw in, I feel the anxiety coming back. Of course I upped my dose to 150mg but them the tiredness returned - plus i suffer from server fatigue post sepsis.

So, the side effects vary from person to person . For me i found i lost appetite & slept a lot . My thoughts had stopped & was very numb, but was happy to stop the constant worry. I just stuck with it & let my system get used to it. I suppose you have to be realistic about what you want to get. no miracle cure in a pill but for now is working

Hey Craig, yes i find certain times of year worse. this time and even worse Christmas. no obvious reason for this but its very annoying, im sort of dreading xmas this year. if your side effects are v bad with dose increase maybe its just too much - worth considering. for what its worth my theory is i have v bad thinking patterns that have formed over years that need addressing i know this drug will not make me immune to all of this so im working on trying to identify the triggers for the thoughts and trying to rationalise things. its v hard of course but the drug does make it a little easier.. anyway best of luck hope you feel better soon. keep in touch with your doc and do whats right for you

Sorry you are feeling blue. Maybe try to embrace the season with fall foods and traditions? Maybe I'm not being helpful. Sending you warm hugs! x kat
