Wisdom to Help Each Other Cope

When I was a nipper my grandma used to let me curl up to her while she told me stories.

One of them was this:

There was a sweet cow in a field. She would eat the grass and thrive, but she was always looking at the next field and thinking 'The grass looks so lush and juicy but I can't get into that field'.

She started to panic, thiking 'What if I run out of grass in this field and I can't get into the other field?'

So she ate up all the grass in her field and then it was all gone and she starved to death!

Grandma probably told it better.

Add your wisdom please?

Your brain must be telling you certain things in order to survive illness. Otherwise you'd give up?

Remembering the positivity of my gradma helps me to keep going. What helps you?

Me too, but then giving up is the other option? Eating all the grass in this field is like saying there's only one way to do things. There are loads of ways and we don't have to put all our eggs in one basket.

This morning I woke up with the worst kind of brain fog, and I was thinking what have I done wrong? I'd done nothing wrong, and I managed to walk to the shop pretty well.

She needed to trust the Farmer. If in her panic she had not eaten all her grass in a hurry but had taken time to chew her cud the farmer would have been back in time to move her into the next field.

Yes I feel like I'm always hurrying with trying to get well but it doesn't seem to be working!
