Besides, I'm sure others will agree with me when I say your wisdom has been invaluable to many and well, we kinda like having you around. I know there are places you can go. Streetlife is ok, I'm on it in my area but it's not the same as a coming together of kindred spirits, all looking for advice and reassurance on the same subject.
You can do that so please don't go 😊

I do hope you enjoy your cruise in May. The hubby and I are going to my brothers apartment in Spain towards the end of May for our first wedding anniversary and hopefully this time, he will not have to drive everywhere and we will enjoy some walks.
Take care and look forward to crossing posts with you again soon 😊

This really is a great forum. I,ve never been on any before and only found this one by accident after my THR. The difference is, that unlike Facebook, we are all in the same boat, but you are right, it would be nice to have a forum of Friends. That,s a good name!
i am 6 weeks post op and have been so lucky. I did no physio due to sciatica, just walking and I have no pain at all. I slept on my side from day one and can do things that I could,nt before, like vacuuming for the first time in 5 years! I cooked dinner last night, a great big roast, for 8 of us with no problem. I am very happy to help anyone who needs it. I am reluctant to stop joining in, I would miss you girls too much!
Happy Easter to you all.

It would be nice to think that I might have some of the same wonderful people to turn to next time that I have had this time. It's like having your very own physio, comedian, nurse, angel, shoulder to cry on and lift your spirits when you are feeling low, all rolled into one wonderful being. I don't know where I would be if I hadn't had this place to turn to at 3am, night after night. I'd probably have been a raging alcoholic by now

I have terrible trouble sleeping and am regularly awake at 3am. I have an electric recliner which has been a godsend. I can't wait until my 6 week check on Friday as hopefully I will be told I can sleep on my side. Then I will probably take to my lovely comfy bed and will probably not reappear for a week!
