Hi Shell, if taken slowly you shouldn't experience withdrawal symptoms, you mighty want to discuss it with your GP and agree a tapering down as depends on your current dose and how long you've been taking it.N

I am on diazepam withdrawal programme if I had known the effects of this drug I would never have taken it our bodies will only naturally accept 30 mg anymore this is poison which led to me being hospitalised  I drop twomg every two weeks and it usually takes me about 5 days  to notice the drop because it is still in our system for all off that time the advice given to me by a drugs expert was to keep drinking plent of water to flush it out quicker... Withdrawal symptoms are often unbearable and needs to be reduced with medical advice it also magnifies the reasons why you start to take it.., it's not easy but it's a must doctors should only prescribe this for a very short period of time my doctor left me on this for three years the longer we are on this type of medication the more our bodies need it because it gives us a false calmness

Hi shell when it was explained to me what the drug can do that was  my focus to come off  I have gone down from 30mg a day to 8 m a day it's not easy by any means even when they drop 1mg a feel it like I said earlier it takes about five days for me to notice the withdrawal symptoms but at least I know why I feel like this... Nobody should withdraw or come of any medication without medical advice I have weekly apps with a specialised drugs team

Hi shell I came off it because it made me worse because I had been on it for a long time my body wanted more and I couldn't get more this caused me more anxiety it stopped me functioning I was even getting dressed or showered I was completely broken I was underweight and very unhealthy my

liver failed as a result of this I appeared drunk to everyone and was living in constant fog even though I have never drunk alcohol a lot of these feelings returned  more so when I get a reduction but it is possible to come off

    good luck

Hi how long do your withdrawal symptoms last for. Mine can last for many days. You would think our bodies would let's us off the withdrawal symptoms but that's wishful thinking lol. Well its day 3 since i drop to 21and half mgs so I am very sure that them nasty surprises off withdrawal symptoms kick in. Omg i hate this feeling knowing what coming.

Mental drug it is a nasty diazepams.

Hi shell it usually takes me about 4 days to readjust one the withdrawal symptoms have kicked in I know the feelings are horrendous but you can get through them because you know it's diazepam withdrawal  keep drinking plenty of water and limit your caffeine intake try and carry on doing what you need to do keep bust believe me it's extremely hard but it's possible

    stay strong
