Withdrawal symptoms on reducing pred from 10 to 9 mg

Posted , 10 users are following.

I started reducing prednisolone from 10 mg to 9 mg 4 days ago and am finding that my whole body is tingling.  Am aching a bit and have started to get fatigued again.  Has anyone else had this tingling sensation?   Is it a withdrawal symptom from the pred?  I would be grateful for any advice.

    Hello again,

This is is such a critical time getting down the road from 10 to 5, I guess! I've made 7.5mg twice the first time I suddenly had a big return of the full works but this time it's been different . . . I only got to 7.5 with the help of Naproxen. But when I realised that the Naproxin was just substituting the steroids but with far greater side effects and stomach potential I dumped it (Naproxen).

It took best part of a week but back it came relentless and slowly until "here we go again". I decided to try 10 . . . Oh joy! I can 'fly again!'

No seriously just for one day then back to 8mg. But it's not enough . . . I could try 8.5 or back to ten for a few weeks and try again . . . . .

i personally don't care about taking 10mg as I don't anything else by way of painkillers (and I can fly) but everybody warns me and nags me . . . . .
