Withdrawals symptoms of venaflaxine

Hi

I'm looking for some support & suggestions of getting through side effects of venaflaxine?

Ive lowed my dose for a while. Even taking smallest amount felt like going back to square one so I've decided to go cold turkey now.

I'm on day 4. My memory is terrible and trying to hold a decent job together is hard as in sales.

Brain swirls/zaps , emotional outbursts , weight gain and sheer lack of care or interest. Oh and shattered which makes me moody. My poor boyfriend!

I need tips on how to get through this? I was doing triathlons last year now I have little interest but desperate to get rid of 2 stone I've put on that's making me feel self conscious

God I'm even moaning and boring everyone so sorry

Please help me x

    Hi

I posted my experience earlier today as I went cold turkey last Friday and it's now been a week. Have a look at my post on the Venlafaxine thread where I described what measures I'd put in pace to try and alleviate the withdrawal symptoms. I was scared it was going to be hell on earth stopping the meds but it's not been as bad as I'd expected and it gets easier every day.

Am on Day 14. First week was the worst. 2nd was manageable. It's not perfect yet, but it seems likely.

Hang in there, this too shall pass.

Btw, I took doctor's help in the very beginning (multi vitamins etc/ no AD substitutes). So, my suggestion would be to have a doctor in confidence during this journey (and not his AD prescription).

    Good Luck !!
