woke up with knee pain?!

Hi all,

So this morning I woke up with knee pain which I thought odd as I haven't been doing any strenuous activity and what not. This knee pain is felt only on my left knee and only when I flex it or when I lift my leg.

I'm so confused as to what this could be, anyone have any ideas?

Much appreciated smile

Could be any number of things. Arthritis setting in, sleeping in a funny position that put pressure on a nerve, some inflammation that will bring pain just because of internal swelling...and probably many other things!

X-RAYS are helpful to see if there are issues going on with the bones. Some people get CT scans or an MRI.

Your Primary Care Doctor is the place to start if you feel this is bothersome enough to deal with immediately.

You might try icing top and bottom, resting, and taking some anti-inflammatory such as Ibuprofen while you are waiting for an appointment to see your doctor. I wouldn't irritate it by doing a lot of walking in case there is an issue that needs to be addressed.

Take care! Get some answers. It will ease your concern and head you in the right direction for feeling much better!

Hi! Did you ever figure out what was going on with your knee? My husband is experiencing the exact same thing. Thank you for your help. 😊
