Women's urinal

Posted , 11 users are following.

Today has been a lot of pain and tiredness so I have been staying in bed, however I have to get up and go to the toilet to urinate every couple of hours.

I did have a toilet riser but it was uncomfortable to sit on and I thought I was over the worst of the pain so sent it back to the rental place. My toilet seat is a long way down! I rigged up a wooden box to lean on and I grab the door handle to lower myself down but it is cumbersome, dangerous and tiresome.

Lucky I have my trusty women's urinal at hand. It is in the shape of a small squashed funnel. I can't supply links but you can find it via Google or ebay.

If you are not drugged out of your mind you might find it useful to pee standing up, just make sure you use it right way up and there is no problem.

It looks like a very handy bit of kit.

The delux version has a removable top so me could use it too.

    Great idea.

Urgh the predictive keyboard on my tablet had gone insane lately, I have to correct nearly every word.

I'll have to look for one of those deluxe versions!

Their more to that aiming business they have to than I realised, and the sheewee is easier to use in the great open spaces than when pointing at the porcelain.

I'm feeling better than I was Renee, Thanks.

      Best wishes to you.

Thank you so much for the heads up Bridie. I am sorry you feel bad today. It sounds like your body is telling you to slow down and that you are listening!

I used a feminine urinal after a bad accident (lifesaver) and tried early on after this operation but I was too shakey on my feet. This is a good piece of kit if you can well and especially if you have one where the handle permits you to hang it on a rung or piece of furniture.

A friend of mine has a sheewee. She has no operation issues but always takes it with her in order to avoid sitting on public toilets.

Could you not get the toilet raiser back, it's to protect you from breaking the 90% s

I got one but my bathroom so small I couldn't have one with a frame, Tried once so difficult to get on and off I used a comode for 10 days until I bought a frame myself. It's not a brilliant fit but safe enough to use. Got to use it for 12 weeks.

I have a sheewee and whiz and just could not get away with them, practised loads before the op lol but a lot of people can use them no problem.

Bridie, there is also stand-up, and go-girl along with she-we. If aiming is a problem, try aiming into the shower or bathtub (without getting in) then just rinse with shower head for a few seconds. It all goes down the same drain. Then your use of the toilet would be only for solid waste. I kept a spray bottle of disinfectant in the bathroom and just gave the bathtub a light spray after rinsing which kept everything clean and odour free. You also get better at aiming with practice.
