wondering about RA factor levels.

Just recently been tested with RA factor of 172. Was wondering about other people's RA factor upon diagnosing and current levels..

    Mine was 686 on first test, the second was 985,  on biologics for 1 1/2 years it is now 138 which is considered a high positive indicated on test results.

    What do these levels mean I don't y understand is the higher it is the better or lower?

      It's supposed to be under 14.  Mine is considered aggressive.  Don't stress!  They will prescribe the best medicine that's available and sometimes it takes a while to find the ones that will work for you.  It's no longer a sentence of deformity.  They need to find out exactly what type you have first.  I don't know if a RF factor indicates Ra for sure.  It might be something else but since I'm not medically trained, I really don't know for sure.  I just am going on my own condition.
