Hi Zowamowa. Sorry you're experiencing these. I suspect you could be having partial seizures and the 'dream' episode is sometimes what happens, we call it the deja vue stage. This same thing happens to me, but not every time. When you see the Dr I hope he can help. Stress can and does contribute to epilepsy. Take care, Karen

All what Karen has said Ditto to it, have you seen a Doc yet ?

All I can say is hang in there and allow a happy memory to filter through your anxiety.   I know this sounds silly but I think you/we have to grieve over people we have lost,  but remember  happy times you shared .

    Good luck

In addition to my previous message I think you should urgently get an EEG and an MRI done, that way the Dr can prescribe a suitable drug and you will get your life back. It's been a long while from January to December. I was 12 when mine started and I'm now 57, in the 70s there wasn't any where near as many drugs as there is today.

So does it definatly sound like epilepsy to you guys? Iv had a letter back from neaurologist and it said it could be up to 6 months. Iv been imagining all sorts..brain tumour, having the big sezuires im really frightened. It didnt bother me much before but now i have anxiety im thinking of all the worse case scenarios. Does anyone notice an increase in these deja vu episodes around the time of monthly cyle? Thanks so much for your replies xxx

Hiya, I don't have the grand mal szs, just the partial szs. And yes you're probably right thinking it's related to monthly cycle. If it was a brain tumour you'd be feeling nauseous and have headaches from hell as well as regular szs. (My son and my brother experienced this) if you start to deteriorate get to the hospital as an emergency and you'll get a CT, or MRI immediately. I started my szs when I reached puberty and Winnie (from this forum) did too. Now I'm menopausal so with any luck 45 years of this may soon be over. Fingers crossed. All the best, Karen

There is quite a lot of epilepsy my brother used to feel the need run and run until he felt phew !!

Sounds daft but that was put down to epilepsy. ??

You may not have it perhaps you should try and remain calm until you see neurology Dept.   Just keep calm and sing that's what I do  lol poor family xx

Now cheer up and lets hear you singing   xxx
