Hi I've had diverticulitis since July 2016 in which I had a major operation as this burst. I'm still off work due to the fact that I work in retail and the embarrassing factor of using the toilets as we know the stench of what lingers. I'm waiting for my reversal before I consider to return to work .h Has anyone else had this issue would love to hear from you thanks again Mary

    I'm so sorry you've been thru so much and still unable to work my diagnosis is epiphrenic esophageal diverticulitis. It's different and rare and I cannot seem to find anyone that has same Dx and had surgery for it. God bless you and thank you for your comment.

      Thanku carol for your kind words no I'm not sure we have the same condition but similar hopefully you will find someone in the same position as you and I wish you all the luck with your future mary

    Mary you have me in full panic now I'm afraid mine will burst I had ct scan w ith dye done Jan 23 and was diagnosed Diverticulisis This stuff has me scared to death!!!

      Hi I'm sorry didn't mean to scare you I had no idea I had diverticulitis abcess until I was in pure agony and was admitted to the hospital that's when they done the ct scan and I was straight into the operating theatre I wasn't diagnosed with it until I had the major operation that's when they told me what they have done a scan on you and have diagnosed you with it which they can keep you on medication so they have caught it before it bursts hope this helps mary
