Hi jesika28180, I've been on flu now for 3 weeks and recently went back to work this week after being out with pneumonia and an asthma attack. I've gradually been getting back into the swing of things although it seem difficult at work and trying to fully concentrate. I guess it will get better with time from what I've been reading in here. I still feel about the same but I just try not to do too much and feel overwhelmed and wipe myself out....and just take it one day at a time. I take my meds everyday and just try to do what I can even I can and don't flip out when it doesn't go that way. I try my best to stay calm and positive but as you know everyday is different and a different test. Well I hope this helps u out
hang in there from what I hear things do improve with time once it's in your system and your body gets adjusted to it.

I was prescribed a very very low dose of xanax. It helped me a lot get through it all. I had to take off two weeks of work and be with family constantly for a while but the xanax got me through work. Had to take it almost three times a day now I'm down to taking barely any anymore and I've been on flu for 5 months

What dose of xanax were you given?I have xanax but my doc has scared me into not taking it...now I'm on 40mg...and take it only when I can't deal any more...I also have propanolol bit I don't feel it helps me at all. I don't want to go higher in dose...but normalize my self.

0.25 mg. The lowest. I'm terrified of this drug but I really did need it. It helped so much and my psychiatrist said take it 3 times a day til you get used to your medicine and don't need it anymore. Now I split my xanax in half and I'm half again . It's almost a little crumb lol and I take that once to go to sleep . I only take that much anymor if I'm having anxiety. I'm not going back up anymore. It already took me a while to reduce my dose everyday slowly so I could try and get off of it.

well it's day 3 and i stopped taking my meds, and i noticed myself less ,jumpy, nervous, jittery*** i think after 6 months flu should of been working but it only made me worse so i wanted to test it and see if it was the meds making me worse. i will try to see how long i can go without it and see if i get better and maybe i really didnt need to be on it.
