Hi ,I wouldn't worry too much ,I managed to work for a number of years after diagnosis ,of course I had to have time off when I had a flare up , but was soon back to work when I was better ,I worked in the community as a home help taking care of and helping the elderly in their home ,I finaly finished work in 1992. Best wishes ,

Thank you, that is good to hear. You have been living with this for over 23 years; That is amazing. I appreciate the encouragement.

hi i dont think it will matter has long has you know the sign of a flare up but if concerned talk to your gp or specialist for advice

Maryterese, if I were you I'd forget about these labels and just do the best you can.  How you are feeling and how much you can do is far more important than whether you're "mild or moderate".

If you can do rehab it will help you manage the condition better:  the most important thing I learned was not to "soldier on" because if you do it takes longer to get your breath back anyway, so better to learn to stop before it gets to that stage
